Hai teman-teman BWinners! Bagaimana kabar kalian semua? Semoga semuanya dalam keadaan baik-baik saja ya! Nah kali ini BWinners akan di ajak untuk mengenal KPPT Salatiga. Jadi KPPT (Kursus Pertanian Taman Tani) Salatiga telah menjelma menjadi pusat pelatihan yang sangat diminati oleh masyarakat lokal di wilayah Salatiga, Jawa Tengah. Didirikan lebih dari sepuluh tahun yang lalu, pusat pelatihan ini telah berhasil menarik minat baik dari petani tradisional maupun individu yang tertarik untuk memulai usaha pertanian. Terkenal dengan pendekatan praktisnya dalam mengajarkan pertanian organik dan teknik bercocok tanam yang berkelanjutan, KPPT Salatiga telah membantu ribuan peserta meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mereka dalam bidang pertanian.
Melalui program-program beragamnya, KPPT Salatiga berhasil memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang pentingnya menjaga keberlanjutan lingkungan dalam praktik pertanian. Fokus pada teknik pertanian ramah lingkungan, seperti penggunaan pupuk organik dan pengendalian hama sederhana, memungkinkan peserta kursus untuk memaksimalkan hasil tanaman tanpa merusak lingkungan sekitar. Selain itu, pusat pelatihan ini juga memberikan pelatihan tentang pemasaran hasil pertanian, mempersiapkan para petani untuk bersaing di pasar yang semakin kompetitif.
Tidak hanya memengaruhi petani lokal, KPPT Salatiga juga telah menjadi pusat komunitas bagi para pecinta alam dan lingkungan. Melalui berbagai kegiatan sosial dan program pengembangan masyarakat, pusat pelatihan ini telah membangun hubungan yang kuat dengan komunitas sekitarnya. Dengan terus menerapkan inovasi dan pengetahuan terbaru dalam pertanian berkelanjutan, KPPT Salatiga diharapkan akan terus menjadi sumber daya berharga bagi masyarakat lokal dan lingkungan di masa depan.
Pada tanggal 20-23 Maret 2024, beberapa perwakilan sekolah SMA/SMK Strada dari Bekasi, Jakarta, dan Tanggerang dalam mengikuti kegiatan Live In di KPPT Salatiga. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan misi dari perkumpulan Strada, yaitu meningkatkan kepedulian terhadap sesama, menghargai perbedaan, dan berjuang demi terpeliharanya lingkungan hidup. Selama kegiatan ini, para peserta diajak untuk berkeliling dan melakukan field trip di berbagai area KPPT Salatiga, termasuk peternakan dan pertanian
Di hari pertama, peserta diajak berkeliling area KPPT Salatiga untuk mengenal lingkungan sekitar. Mereka mengunjungi berbagai area, termasuk rumah kaca yang digunakan untuk membudidayakan berbagai jenis tanaman dan peternakan seperti sapi, kambing, ayam, marmut, kelinci dan babi. Di hari kedua, peserta terlibat dalam berbagai kegiatan praktik, seperti menanam bibit, membuat media tanam, dan memasang mulsa. Di hari ketiga pun peserta diajak mendengarkan materi tentang ketahanan tanah dan pangan serta pembuatan larutan hoagland.
Pada hari terakhir kegiatan, peserta diminta untuk membuat sebuah Business Model Canvas atau rencana bisnis untuk mengaplikasikan ilmu yang telah mereka dapatkan selama kegiatan Live In di KPPT Salatiga. Meskipun merasa lelah, para peserta merasa senang dan bersemangat karena telah mendapat pengalaman berharga dan bertemu dengan teman-teman baru. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini menunjukkan betapa pentingnya peran KPPT Salatiga dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan dalam pertanian berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat dan lingkungan sekitar.
